CUF50407 Diploma of Specialist Make-up Services:

ACMUSE is pleased to offer two streams to enrol in for the CUF50407 Diploma of Specialist Make-up Services.

Stream A - if you have completed the CUF40407 Certificate IV in Make-up at ACMUSE you will receive a course credits for the units completed that are embedded in the Diploma.


Stream B – enrolment in full course 54 weeks in duration. Please see course details below for more information.

Course Details (Stream A):

Note: Stream A is an articulated pathway into the Diploma. If you have completed the CUF40407 Certificate IV in Make-up at ACMUSE you will receive credits for the units completed that are also within the Diploma. Certified for International Students.

Course Diploma of Specialist Make-Up Services (Full Time) Duration 44 weeks duration (breakdown: 38 weeks face-to-face study; 6 weeks term breaks) (760 supervised hours)

Entrance Requirements Articulated pathway – course available for graduates of CUF40407 Certificate IV in Make-up.
Course Aims This course is for people interested in gaining specialist skills in special effects make-up for film, television, theatre, fashion and photography.
Career Prospects Work as a Make-up Artist in film, television, fashion / catwalk, glamour, theatre and photographic fields. As well you will be trained to work in special effects for film, television and theatre.
Course Delivery The course is presented via face to face teaching, demonstration and practical exercises. Learners experience a simulated work place environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice. Out of college experience is available, but is not assessed as part of the course.

Entrance Requirements There are no formal educational requirements for the course. Applicants need to be 16 years of age and over (18 years for International Students).
Course Aims

Assessment Methods

Ongoing assessment based on training package assessment criteria. There are three clustered assessment points: one is term one, a mid year assessment in week 20 and a final assessment at the end of the year - practical and theoretical examination.

Fee Payment

Fees may be paid directly to the College by credit card (Mastercard and Visa), by cheque, cash, or through direct deposit into our bank account. Please ask for our bank details. All fee payments must be in Australian Dollars.

Advance Payment

Full fee payment in advance attracts a discount of $250.00 Payment Over Time: The College has a structured payment plan for payment of fees over the length of the course. This includes a direct debit facility at no extra cost.

Administration Fee

International students are required to pay a $2,500.00 non-refundable fee to cover the costs associated with administration and insurance requirements relating to the provision of courses for International students. This fee must be promptly paid once learners have received a letter of acceptance.

Fee Payment Before Enrolment

The College requires a deposit to be paid before enrolment into a course. Australian Government regulations require that overseas learners pay the fees for the first semester of a course before a Confirmation of Enrolment Certificate (COE) is issued. On receipt of these payments the College will issue an electronic COE through the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs website and notify the learner of the details of the COE. The learner will require these details before they are able to finalise their learner visa.
