Entrance Requirements: Certificate IV in Make-up or equivalent qualification. Course Aims This course is for people interested in gaining specialist skills in special effects make-up for film, television, theatre, fashion and photography. Career Prospects Work as a Make-up Artist in film, television, fashion / catwalk, glamour, theatre and photographic fields. As well you will be trained to work in special effects for film, television and theatre. Course Delivery The course is presented via face to face teaching, demonstration and practical exercises. Students experience a simulated work place environment, with access to equipment, products and facilities reflecting industry practice. Out of college experience is available, but is not assessed as part of the course. Distance learning is not feasible. Assessment Methods Ongoing assessment is based on training package assessment criteria. Final Assessment is by practical written assessment at the end of the course. Advance Payment: Full fee payment in advance attracts a discount of $250.00 Payment Over Time: The College has a structured payment plan for payment of fees over the length of the course. This includes a direct debit facility at no extra cost. Administration Fee: Overseas students are required to pay a $2,500.00 non-refundable fee to cover the costs associated with administration and insurance requirements relating to the provision of courses for overseas students. This fee must be promptly paid once students have received a letter of acceptance. Fee Payment before Enrolment: The College requires a deposit to be paid before enrolment into a course. Australian Government regulations require that overseas students pay the fees for the first semester of a course before a Confirmation of Enrolment Certificate (COE) is issued. On receipt of these payments the College will issue an electronic COE through the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs website and notify the student of the details of the COE.
